Council Minutes of 7/7/87 <br />-5 - <br />Audience participation (con't): <br />Dick Spaeth, 28873 Tudor Drive, complained of the unsightly condition of the <br />Zergott parking lot between Blackbriar and Don's Bar. Would like to recommend <br />that North Olmsted give a "good neighbor" award to the businesses who maintain <br />their property and are an asset to the community. <br />Pat Bahas, North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce, commented that the Chamber does <br />issue "Pride Awards". Suggested that with so many problems with proper screening, <br />the city might have a special recognition for businesses that have done an <br />exceptional screening of neighboring residential areas. <br />Joan Puinno, 27181 Glouchester, complained of bad flooding at least four times <br />a year for the past ten years. Was advised by the city that the sewers in front <br />of her home can not carry off all the water that comes up Revere Drive. City <br />advised they would come out to "snake" out the line but felt it was clear; they <br />never did come back to check it out. Service Director Noble will look into her <br />problem. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 87-53 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various administrative and <br />legislative personnel, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 87-54 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading, <br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year .ending December 31, 1987, as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 87-55 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1987. <br />Ordinance No. 87-57 introduced by Mr. Bohlmann was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1321 of the Codif ied Ordinances en- <br />titled "Permit and Inspection Fees", and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 87-60 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance to amend Sections 1501,0101, 1501.0501, 1501.0502, 1501,1302 and <br />1501.2101 of the Codif ied Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, in order <br />to increase the municipal income tax rate from one percent to one and three- <br />fourth percent, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 87-61 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />A resolution declaring the necessity of an election on the question of approving <br />the passage of an ordinance to amend Sections 1501.0101, 1501.0501, 1501.0502, <br />1501.1302 and 1501.2101 of the Codif ied Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, <br />in order to increase the municipal income tax rate from one percent to one and <br />three-fourths percent, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 87-64 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />A resolution adopting the budget of 'the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal year <br />beginning January 1, 1988, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 87-65 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance establishing the compensation to be paid to all hourly employees employed <br />by the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and declaring an emergency.
