Council Minutes of 3/3/87 -8- <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 87-8 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />one (1) new automobile for the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and authorizing <br />the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved <br />for adoption, second by Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 87-8 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 87-9 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />sweeping of all streets in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr, Tallon, unanimously approved. <br />Resolution No. 87-9 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 87-13 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1987. <br />Resolution No. 87-15 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its. second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for 500 cubic <br />yards of concrete for Service Department road repair needs and authorizing the <br />Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 87-16 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public. Service to advertise for bids for <br />2,000 tons of stone for various Service Department needs, and authorizing the <br />Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 87-17 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its. second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />5,000 tons of asphalt and tack coating of City streets, and authorizing the <br />Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 87-19 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its second. reading. An <br />ordinance establishing a second law clerk position within. the Organizational <br />Chart of the Department of Law for the City of North Olmsted, amending Section <br />137.01 of the Cod if ied Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Resolution No. 87-22 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />A resolution declaring the City of North Olmsted's intent to participate in <br />bicentennial celebrations of the Northwest Ordinance and the United. States <br />Constitution, Ref erred to Intra-Governmental Relations and Legislation Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 87-23 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Police Department to purchase a Varda Unit to be <br />used for surveillance by the Police Department, and declaring an emergency. <br />(Legislation has already been discussed in Finance Committee; cost of Varda Unit <br />would be purchased out of the $12,000 in the Law Enforcement Trust Fund.) <br />Ordinance No. 87-24 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance for the resurfacing and repair of Columbia Road (Old. SR 252) <br />from approximately 0.23 miles south of Butternut Ridge Road to Lorain Road <br />(SR l0) in the City of North Olmsted, a distance of 1.87 miles more or less. <br />Referred to Streets and Drainage Committee. <br />s <br />
