Council Minutes of 2/17/87 -4- <br />Mrs. Marcella Talcott, 23282 Cliffor Drive,. gave a resume of her many years of <br />~"'°' service to the community and participation in the activities at the Senior Center, <br />~'~ including serving on the Senior Center Advisory Board. She also expressed her <br />dismay with the present administration of the Senior Center; in one year's time, <br />everything has been taken away from the seniors: the monthly outings, bingo, <br />access to the van, etc. President Pro Tem O'Grady asked the Mayor to include <br />Mrs. Talcott's remarks when she confers with the Administrator on Aging and <br />reports back to council. <br />Charlotte Phillips, 27785 Southern Avenue, presented a petition which read: <br />"We, the undersigned hereby wish to urge the Members of Council, City of North <br />Olmsted, to evolve a viable plan to permanently repair the pool roof at North <br />Olmsted Recreation Complex". Asked if adequate financial operational plans for <br />the Rec Complex were included in the Five Year Plan and what plans have been <br />made to finance replacement of the Complex .roof. Mr. Tallon stated that the <br />Recreation Complex was not addressed in the Five Year Plan; as far as the roof <br />project, council has received no guidelines from the administration nor has it <br />undertaken anything. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 86-49 introduced by Mr. Wilamasky was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance accepting for dedication the Timber Trail Subdivision which includes <br />Old Shore Drive, Timber Trail Drive, Windy Hollow Lane, Hidden Circle,. Winding <br />Creek Lane, Wild Oak Drive and Brook Circle, in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. <br />Ordinance No. 86-49 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 87-4 introduced by Mr. Tallon. was given its third reading. A <br />resolution declaring the intent of the Council of the City of North Olmsted to <br />accept for dedication certain streets within Pebblebrook Subdivision, and de- <br />claring an emergency. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mr. McKay, <br />unanimously .approved. Resolution No. 87-4 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 87-5 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance accepting an .easement from Ronald. Wagner for storm sewers located in <br />Lorain Road, Permanent Parcel Nos. 234-10-51 and 234-10-52, within the City <br />of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-5 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 87-6 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to participate in <br />contracts of the State of Ohio, Department of Administrative Services, Office of <br />State Purchasing, for the purchase of supplies, services, equipment and certain <br />materials, pursuant to Revised Code, Section 125.04, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. Or- <br />dinance No. 87-6 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 87-8 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its. second reading. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise €or bids for <br />one (1) new automobile for the. North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and authorizing <br />the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 87-9 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its. second reading. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />sweeping of all streets in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />l <br />
