. ~'4 ouncil Minutes of 1/b/87 -b- Miscellaneous business (cont'd): `""fPi Mayor Petrigac reported on the Volunteer Program, initiated by her admin- ~~'"~ istration, as follows: volunteers have accumulated 4,986 hours. This does not include Mr. DeBrodt, people working at the Senior Center or at the Recreation Complex. It covers people who have volunteered primarily within the Administrative Complex. There were a total of about twenty-three volunteers; one of the leading volunteers is Mrs. Jean Beck, who has given untold hours of service in the Building Department. Mayor Petrigac mentioned the vacancy on the Architectural Review Board created by Mr. Ebin's resignation. The person needed to fill this vacancy must be an architect; would appreciate any recommendations and resumes. Mayor Petrigac also read a proclamation honoring, Mrs. Ida Berman on the cele- bration of her hundredth birthday on January 11, 1987. President Saringer asked Mayor Petrigac if she had received any response from the property owners with regard to the parcels of land to be donated to the city. Mayor responded that she had written a letter to the owners stating that the city was aware of the taxes on these properties and would be in- terested; a written appraisal of the property is needed.
