Council Minutes of 6/21/88 <br />-8- <br />Miscellaneous business (cont'd): <br />Mr. Bohlmann scheduled a Legislative Committee Meeting for Tuesday, June 28th, <br />at 7:30 P.M., far the purpose of interviewing Mr. Robert Bowen, Mayor's appointment <br />to the Planning Commission. <br />Mr. Tallon scheduled a BZD Committee Meeting on June 30th at 8:00 P.M., and re- <br />quested the attendance of Building Commissioner and Acting Engineer. <br />Mayor Petrigac discussed the Law Department's. over-drawn account; $9,000 had been <br />appropriated - so far this year $13,000 has been-spent - account is over-drawn <br />by $4,000. Law Director Gareau advised that he received a memo from the Finance <br />Department just today and his department's account is no longer over-drawn and <br />is still within the appropriation. A charge of $5,000 should have been made to <br />Squire, Sanders and Dempsey for the work they did on the proposed tax issue that <br />was to go on the ballot; also, the Fire Department's appeal to the State Employees' <br />Relations Board last year, because it was, heard in Franklin County, necessitated <br />the hiring of Squire., Sanders and Dempsey to file a notice of appeal on behalf of <br />the city and that cost of $4,600 should .also have been charged to them. With the <br />elimination of these two items, the Law Department has hardly used any of its <br />appropriation for 1988. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved Council withdraw its objection to the renewal of a D2, D2X, <br />D3, D3A and D6 liquor permit, Permanent Number C TRFO 1074716, as stated in <br />Resolution No. 87-83, passed on August 26, 1987, and further, to direct Law <br />Director Gareau to prepare and forward a communication to the Ohio Department <br />of Liquor Control advising them of this action, second by Mr. Baehmer, unanimously <br />approved. <br />Mr. Bohlmann moved to excuse the absence of Councilman McKay, second by Mr. O'Grady, <br />unanimously approved. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business,.
