Council Minutes of 5/17/88 <br />-6 - <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 88-60 introduced by Mayor Petrigac and the entire council was given <br />its first reading. An ordinance to amend Sections 1101.02, 1101.03, 1101.04, <br />1101.05, 1101.06 and 1101.10 of the Codif ied Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, <br />Ohio, and to enact Section 1101.11 of those codified ordinances, all to provide <br />that, in lieu of installing all improvements or posting performance and maintenance <br />bonds required in connection with the acceptance of a f final plat, a developer may <br />petition council for the construction of such improvements and the. levying of <br />special assessments to pay the costs thereof, and to declare an emergency. <br />Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 88-61 introduced by Mayor Petrigac and Councilman Boehmer was given <br />its first reading. An ordinance amending Section 541.03 of the Codified Ordinances <br />of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Criminal Damaging Or Endangering", and de- <br />claring an emergency. Referred to Safety Committee. <br />Miscellaneous Business: <br />Mrs. Bahas moved Council request the Clerk of Council to direct a letter to <br />Director Copeland commending his efforts. for the Community Development Block Grant, <br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Mayor Petrigac asked that Service <br />Director Noble be included in the commendation. <br />Mr. Boehmer announced that Monday, May 30th, Memorial Day, the VFW Post 7647 will <br />hold services at North Olmsted City Hall starting at 8 A.M., with a flag raising. <br />Services will then be held at Butternut and Coe Cemeteries; parade will form at <br />9:45 A.M. at City Hall and march to North Olmsted Park where services will be held. <br />Mr. Wilamosky scheduled a Finance Committee Meeting for Thursday, May 26th, at <br />8 P.M., to discuss Ordinance Nos. 88-59 and 88-60; requested attendance of Mayor, <br />Finance Director and Budget and Management Director. <br />In answer to Mr. O'Grady's question, Mr. Tallon stated that no action had been <br />taken on the Deerfield/Bradley Road culvert. <br />Mr. Tallon scheduled a BZD Committee Meeting for Thursday, June 2nd, at 7:30 P.M. <br />President Saringer asked Mr. Bohlmann to discuss the Rules of Council in his <br />Legislative Committee Meeting, to allow audience participation prior to the <br />passage of motions made in BZD Committee reports. Law Director Gareau suggested <br />that an easy solution might be to have two sections - one being motions of council <br />and the second being legislation. <br />President Saringer reminded everyone of the Mock Council Meeting to be held on <br />June 4th at 9 A.M.; council to assembly at 8:45 A.M. Also, a Public Hearing <br />will be held on June 7th, at 7 P.M., prior to the regular council meeting, with <br />regard to Ordinance No. 88-60. <br />There being no further business and the agenda being completed, President Saringer <br />adjourned the Council Meeting at 9:30 P.M. <br />orence E.
