Council Minutes of 3/15/88 _3_ <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved to amend the agenda by removing Ordinance No. 88-22 and <br />include in the agenda Ordinance No. 88-17, as amended, second by Mr. Tallon, <br />unanimously approved. Agenda so amended. <br />Letters and communications: <br />Clerk of Council read a communication from Mr. Edward Bak, 6286 Somerset Drive, <br />regarding sewer rates and expansion of Olmsted Township; would be available to <br />meet with council to discuss this further. <br />Audience participation: <br />Irene Schultz, 6725 Nancy Drive; Alice Holmok, 3443 West 231 Street; Randy Palmer, <br />6255 Surrey Drive; Alice Eller, 4291 Brendan Lane; Virginia Campbell, 29420 Lorain <br />Road, discussed the poor sanitary and maintenance conditions at Community Cabin; <br />are especially concerned with the increased rental rates. President Saringer <br />asked Legislation Committee and Adminstration to meet and review recent legislation <br />that raised the Cabin rentals to see if any .changes could be made. <br />Ms. Anna Yackee, 24167 Maple Ridge and Mr. Joe Kostrek, 4218 Brendan Lane, dis- <br />cussed the mayor's proposal to cut school guard hours. Mayor Petrigac stated <br />that with a very tight budget she has to look for ways to cut expenses. and she <br />thought it only fair to let the school guards know that cutting their hours <br />was a possibility; she is simply exploring her options at this point. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 88-21 introduced by Councilman Bohlmann was given its third reading. <br />A resolution objecting to certain provisions of Chapter 4117 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code detailing the State Collective Bargaining Law, specif ically Chapter 4117.14(C)6 <br />requiring the City Council to reject the recommendation of the Fact Finder within <br />only seven (7) days, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Bohlmann moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 88-21 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-24 introduced by Mr. Bohlmann was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1361 of the Cod if ied Ordinances en- <br />titled, "Flood Damage Prevention". Mr. Bohlmann moved for adoption, second by Mrs. <br />Bahas, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 88-24 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-17 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending Section 911.076(B), 911.076(E) and 911.077, all dealing with <br />tap-in charges for benefited users within the North Olmsted Sewer Use District, <br />and declaring an emergency, as amended. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of <br />rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Presi- <br />dent Saringer asked if anyone in the audience would like to address Ordinance No. <br />88-17; there was no audience participation. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 88-17 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-27 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance accepting for dedication the Pheasants Walk Subdivision which includes <br />Pheasants Walk Drive, Wood Path Drive and Quail Run, in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-28 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance for the replacement (within the right-of-way only) of MacKenzie Road <br />(CR-86) over an unnamed creek, 6,488.2 feet north of Cook Road. <br />Ordinance No. 88-29 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance granting the extinguishment and release of a sewer easement granted to <br />the City of North Olmsted and recorded in Volume 11663, Page 681, of Cuyahoga <br />County Plat Records, and declaring an emergency. <br /> <br />
