Council Minutes of 7/5/89 <br />-7- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Resolution No. 89-64 introduced by Mrs. Bahas was given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to negotiate and enter into a lease agreement <br />with Horizons Activity Center for property located at 26272 Butternut Ridge <br />Road, which property is to be used in conjunction with the Handicapped Program <br />being developed by Horizons Activity Center, and declaring an emergency. <br />Miscellaneous Business: <br />President Saringer announced that Ordinance No. 89-59, passed this evening, <br />will be removed from the Special Council Meeting agenda for tomorrow night; <br />also, Ordinance No. 89-64 will be placed on second reading on tomorrow night's <br />agenda. Another Special Meeting of Council has been scheduled for July 7th, <br />Friday, at 7 P.M., for Ordinance No. 89-61, which will be on third reading. <br />President Saringer also reminded everyone that Chairman Brian Gorris has re- <br />scheduled the Planning Review Committee Meeting; it will be held an Wednesday, <br />July 19th at 8 P.M. <br />Mr. O'Grady moved to have Resolution No. 89-55 placed on third reading at <br />tomorrow night's special council meeting, second by Mr. McKay. Roll call on <br />motion: Affirmative vote: Bahas, Boehmer, Bohlmann, McKay, O'Grady, Tallon. <br />Negative vote: Wilamosky. Motion passed. <br />Mr. McKay scheduled a Streets and Drainage Committee Meeting for Thursday, <br />July 6th, immediately following the special council .meeting. <br />Mrs. Bahas scheduled a joint meeting of the Safety Committee and the Long Range <br />Planning Committee for August 1st and asked the Clerk of Council to include <br />the apartment owners on the list previously submitted. <br />Mr. Bohlmann asked the Mayor if she intended to introduce an income tax ordin- <br />ance for council's review in time to place an income tax issue on the ballot <br />in November. Mayor Petrigac responded that there was not enough time to have <br />legislation drawn up, passed by council and then promoted and presented to <br />the public; will probably do so the first thing next year. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Saringer <br />adjourned the council meeting at 10:05 P.M. <br />lorence E.
