a- <br />Council Minutes of 5/16/89 -4- <br />a. Cellular One, 26101 Country Club Boulevard, Apartment 1921, Victoria <br />Plaza; proposal to use suite as a commercial enterprise; approved by Planning <br />Commission on April 25, 1989. BZD Committee also approves with the following <br />inclusions: <br />1. AC Units moved to the location of telephone panel on drawing <br />No. FP-001, dated February 10, 1989. <br />2. Telephone panel moved directly south on same wall. <br />3. Soundproof all tenant separations and hallway walls. <br />4. Drip tanks placed under battery racks. <br />5. Proper fire-rated wall separations from commercial to <br />residential and hallway walls, <br />6. Antennae cable will be in conduit from suite to roof antennae, <br />7. Rectifiers will have vibration pads; air conditioning units <br />will have vibration pads and shock absorbers. <br />Mr. Tallon moved council accept the Cellular One proposal as above stated, second <br />by Mr. Bohlmann. Affirmative vote: Bahas, Bohlmann, O`Grady, Tallon, Negative <br />vote: Boehmer, McKay, Wilamosky. 4 Aye - 3 Nay - Motion carried. <br />b. Paradise Honda Automobile Agency, 25892 Lorain Road, proposal to construct <br />Honda Dealership; existing building to be moved to the rear of property and con- <br />verted to office building; approved by Planning Commission on April 25, 1989; <br />approved by ARB on April 19, 1989. BZD Committee concurs with the stipulation that <br />the driveway and curb cut on Ranchview be eliminated. Mr. Tallon moved council <br />accept the Paradise Honda Automobile Agency proposal as above stated, second by <br />Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved. <br />c. Bucknell Building, 27709 Lorain Road, exterior renovation. This consists <br />of a two-phase project. Building will be done in a Victorian style using Ben- <br />jamin Moore Historical Series Colors and all signage will be in redwood-type <br />design. BZD Committee concurs; Mr. Tallon moved council approve the above <br />described exterior renovation of the Bucknell Building, second by Mr. Bohlmann, <br />unanimously approved. <br />d. Toys "R" Us, north side of Lorain Road, west of Crestmont; proposal to <br />construct building and relocation of Lorain Road/Whitethorn intersection; <br />building, approximately 46,000 square feet., to be built on property now known as <br />Margie's Nursing Home. Toys "R" Us representatives have agreed to install traffic <br />light on Lorain Road at the intersection of Whitethorn and also to straighten out <br />the intersecton so the turn would not be so drastic. Approved by Planning Commission <br />on April 11, 1989 and ARB, with recommendations. Finished drawings of the rooftop <br />units have been submitted. Dover Center Road entrance will be a "right turn only" <br />out, to go north on Dover Center. A "right turn only" travelling north on Dover <br />Center from Lorain to the entrance and an island-type separator in the drive will <br />be established. Drive must be signed so as to alert everyone that it is a "right <br />turn exit only". City will be monitoring this to see if any adjustments might be <br />required at the Dover Center Road entrance. Signalization on Lorain Road will <br />meet the standards the city requires to complete its own traffic signalization <br />program. Mr. Tallon moved council. approve the above described proposal, second <br />by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved. <br />2) Committee also discussed Ordinance No. 89-37, amending Section 903.01 entitled, <br />"Permit Required; Fees" of Section 903, "Sidewalks" as well as Ordinance No, 89-39, <br />establishing Chapter 909 entitled, "Aprons" and has no objection. <br />
