Council Minutes of 5/3/89
-3-
Mr. Wilamosky commented that Council is in receipt of a memo dealing with
an item relative to insurance - hospitalization, medical -for city employees.
If council would like to sit down and reevaluate the cap that it established
earlier -this year, would be happy to schedule a meeting. Since the city is
coming into some areas of negotiations, council should get this on the agenda
and establish its position so the negotiating team will know what backing it
can expect from council when it enters the upcoming negotiations.
President Saringer announced receipt of two communications from the Building
Commissioner: the first item dealing with two amendments to detailed development
plans from Air-N-Cruise Travel Agency at 26101 Country Club Boulevard, Suite 103
Victoria Plaza and Robinson's Promotions, 26101 Country Club Boulevard, Suite 203
Victoria Plaza; the second item dealing with an amendment to the preliminary land
use plan for Great Northern Corporate Center; proposal to include a restaurant.
Referred these items to Building, Zoning and Development Committee. Mr. Tallon
moved the above described communications be forwarded to the. Planning Commission
for consideration, second by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved.
Mr. O'Grady mentioned that on the 27th of April,.. he represented council at a
liquor hearing with respect to the Sohio liquor permit which is also being pro-
tested by the Clague Road United Church of Christ. It was heard by the Liquor
Control Board who will inform us of their decision.
Audience participation:
Lemma Szabo, 30837 Bradley Road, asked if the new ditch the city plans to dig next
to her house would be covered. Mr. Wilamosky advised that while he would like to
see every ditch in North Olmsted covered, the bulk of this new ditch would not be
covered; this project does not call for a totally covered ditch.
LEGISLATION:
Ordinance No. 89-26 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. An
ordinance to approve current replacement pages to the Codified Ordinances; to
adopt new matter, and declaring an emergency.
Ordinance No. 89-27 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading.
