An ordinance to transfer appropriations for current e~cpenses <br />and other expenditures for the City of North 03msted for the year ending <br />December 31, 1990, arxi declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon moved for <br />suspension of the rules; second by Mr. McKay; passed unanimously. Mr. <br />Tallon moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 90-131 adopted. <br />Miscellaneous Business: <br />Mrs. Beringer aske why the City does not have a recycling program. <br />Mr. McKay responded that the cost is prohibitive. We are currently <br />negotiating with BFI to do our recycling. It will be much cheaper for <br />the City to contract with BFI to do recycling and solid waste removal <br />than it would be to set up a separate program and work in conflict with <br />them. <br />Mrs. Beringer asked that the Streets arxi Drainage Committee discuss the <br />flooding problem in the east er~d of the City and make recommendations <br />for future plans to the Administration. <br />Mr. Nashar moved to excuse the absence of Mrs. Babas; second by Mrs. <br />Beringer; passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Nashar scheduled a Streets and Drainage Committee meeting for <br />Wednesday, September 26 at 7 p.m., arxi requested the attendance of the <br />Service Director. <br />The agenda being complete and there being no further business, President <br />Boehmer adjourned the meeting at 9:28 p.m <br />Bar era L. eman, sting r ~~ James D. r, Presi t o <br />Council r Council <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />
