' Council Minutes of 4/17/90 <br />-3- <br />Mr. Tallon, Chairman Finance Committee reported: 1) Will be asking for suspension <br />of rule requiring three readings on Ordinance Nos. 90-39, 90-49 and 90-52, all <br />dealing with pay increases previously discussed and negotiated. <br />Mrs. Bahas, Chairman Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee reported: <br />1) Was unable to attend Wednesday's meeting but did talk with Safety Director <br />Gundy who filled her in on what took place. Director Wilamosky gave an explana- <br />tion of the insurance procedures that will be in the budget regarding the Recrea- <br />tion Center. Also, an elevator will be included in the regular specs in order to <br />comply with handicap provisions. <br />LEGLSLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 90-25 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An ordin- <br />ance amending the Traffic Conarol File of the City of North Olmsted by providing <br />for the prohibition of truck traffic on a portion. of Country Club Boulevard, and <br />declaring an emergency, as amended. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, second by Mrs. <br />Saringer, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-25 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-34 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance to transfer funds from the Industrial Park Road Fund to the Capital <br />Improvements Fund and from the Capital Improvements Fund to the General Fund, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mr. McKay, <br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-34 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-36 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $1,300,000 notes, in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of renovating, remodeling, rehabilitating, <br />furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving the Municipal Recreation Center and <br />improving and equipping its site. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by <br />Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-36 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-37 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $500,000 notes, in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds to pay costs of acquiring motor vehicles. and equipment <br />for use in carrying out functions of the Department of Public Service. Mr. Tallon <br />moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. <br />90-37 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-39 introduced by Mrs. Bahas was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance establishing the organization and composition of the non-uniform, part- <br />time personnel of the Police Department, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Mrs. Bahas moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by <br />Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to advertise for bids for <br />the renovation of the Recreation Complex for the North Olmsted Parks and Recreation <br />Department, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an <br />emergency. Mrs. Bahas moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, <br />second by Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. Mrs. Bahas moved for adoption, second <br />by Mr. McKay,. unanimously approved. Resolution No. 90-40 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-41 introduced by Mr. McKay and Mr. Nashar was given its second <br />reading. An ordinance creating a new Chapter 759 of the Business Regulation Code <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled, "Sale Of Irradi- <br />ated Foods", and declaring an emergency. <br />
