<br />Mr. Tallon moved to amend Ordinance No. 89-106, second by Mrs. Bahas. After
<br />discussion that the motion to amend should have preceded the motion to suspend
<br />"°~"° the rule requiring three readings, Mr. O'Grady moved to reconsider his motion
<br />"` to suspend the rule requiring three readings on Ordinance No. 89-106, as well
<br />as Mr. Tallon's second of that motion, second by Mr. Tallon. Roll call on motion
<br />to reconsider: Affirmative vote: O'Grady, Tallon, Wilamosky, McKay, Leonard, Bahas.
<br />Abstained: Bohlmann. 6 Aye - 1 Nay - Motion carried.
<br />Mr. Tallon moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings on Ordinance No.
<br />89-106, second by Mrs. Bahas. Roll call on motion: Negative vote: Tallon, Bahas,
<br />Leonard, McKay, O'Grady, Wilamosky. Abstained: Bohlmann. 6 Nay - 1 Abstention -
<br />Motion failed.
<br />Mr. Tallon moved to amend Ordinance No. 89-106 as follows: On Page Two, Section 3,
<br />Item (C) Bookkeeper - Class A, the range should read "From $14,500 to $23,500
<br />Annually"; Page Two, Section 3, Item (D) Bookkeeper - Class B, the range should
<br />read "From $13,000 to $19,000"; Page Five, Section 10 should read "Department of
<br />Personnel and Administrative Services", second by Mrs. Bahas. Roll call on amend-
<br />ment: Affirmative vote: Tallon, Bahas, Leonard, McKay, O'Grady. Abstained:
<br />Bohlmann, Wilamosky. 5 Aye - 2 Abstentions - Motion carried. Ordinance No. 89-106
<br />amended and placed back on second reading.

<br />Mr. Tallon moved for adoption of Ordinance No. 89-106, as amended,. second by Mrs.
<br />Bahas. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: Tallon, Bahas,. Leonard, McKay,
<br />O'Grady. Abstained: Bohlmann, Wilamosky. 5 Aye - 2 Abstentions - Motion carried.
<br />Ordinance No. 89-106 adopted.
<br />Mr. Bohlmann explained that he had abstained from voting on Ordinance No. $9-106
<br />because it directly affects his salary and he thought it proper to abstain on this
<br />particular ordinance.
<br />Miscellaneous business:
<br />Mayor Boyle announced that now Ordinance No. 89-106 has been adopted.. and the
<br />Department of Personnel and Administrative Services has been established, he would
<br />like to report that the new director of this department is Mr. Ron Wilamosky who
<br />will assume the responsibilities of this office on January 17, 1990.
<br />Mr. Bohlmann submitted his resignation as Councilman-at-Large, effective immediately,
<br />to President Boehmer. This action was necessary in order for him to assume his
<br />responsibilities as Director of Public Service. Mr. Bohlmann thanked the voters
<br />who allowed him the opportunity to serve on council and the members of council for
<br />their cooperation and support. Hopes to continue to serve the City of North Olmsted
<br />in his capacity as Service Director.
<br />Mr. Wilamosky moved to accept Mr. Bohlmann's resignation, effective immediately,
<br />and to proceed to fill this vacancy, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved.
<br />Mr. Wilamosky nominated Janet Saringer to serve as Councilwoman-at-Large, filling
<br />the unexpired term of Mr. Bohlmann. There being no other nominations, Mr. Wilamosky
<br />moved nominations be closed, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved.
