Council Minutes of 5/21/91 <br />Audience Partici~.tion <br />Connie Lynch,~+ 76 Lansing Drive, wanted a waiver from obtaining a <br />setback variance because the new Zoning Code does not require a maximzmi <br />setback. Mr. Gateau explained that the Zanng Code would not 8o into <br />effect for 30 days; therefore, she would have to apply for a variance. <br />Lena Sokol, 4909 Porter Road, suggested that a city-amide garage sale at <br />North 0]insted Park be held once a year to eliminate traffic problems in <br />the neighborhoods. <br />Jodi Kupchik, 23853 Amesbury Drive, spoke on behalf of the Deerfield <br />North Homeowners' Association. The Association is unable to maintain <br />the 3.4 acre park and, pool and would like the City to consider accepting <br />this property. Mr. Gateau suggested that Council's Recreation Committee <br />look into this matter. <br />Patricia Lanigan, 4322 Silverdale, wanted to know why the paving of <br />Silverdale and Selhurst had been delayed. Mayor Boyle explained that <br />the project of Silverdale, Selhurst and Duane is on schedule. The <br />engineering is being done this year, and construction will be done in <br />1992. <br />Mary Dee, 5670 Bradley Road,. spoke about the need for resurfacing of <br />Bradley Road, restoring of drainage ditches, aril repair of front yards <br />and driveways. <br />Gerri Grant, 5704 Bradley Road, also expressed concern about the way the <br />work was proceeding on Bradley Road. <br />John Dee, 5670 Bradley Road, is concerned about the quality of work of <br />the contractor. Also, the workers cracked the outflow pipe from his <br />sump ptnnp into the drainage ditch, and he would like to have this <br />repaired. <br />Bill Goellner, 5760 Bradley Road, also wanted to go on record as being <br />unhappy with the contractor's work. <br />The Bradley Road residents were assured by the Mayor and Mr. Nashar that <br />the City would meet with the contractor and would definitely contirnie to <br />monitor the work on Bradley Road. The resurfacing is scheduled to take <br />place on May 28. <br />Roger Lynch, 4776 Lansing Drive, whose wife had spoken earlier, asked <br />again if his setback variance could be waived. Mr. Gateau stated that <br />there could be no exceptions; Mr. Lynch wou]-d have to go before the <br />Board of Zoning Appeals at its next regularly scheduled meeting. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />
