Council Minutes of 5/8/91
Audience Participation (continued)
David Lind, 23084 Clifford Drive, asked why Marion Road was being
repaired before Clifford Drive; residents of Clifford have been asking
for repairs for 13 or 14 years.
Mr. Bohlmann answered that both streets are in dire need of repair; it
would be difficult to say which is in worse shape. Both streets will be
engineered this year; however, restriction of funds has caused the City
to go to a two-year program with this project.
Mrs. Beringer and Mrs. Babas commented that Clifford is scheduled for
1992 because the City plans to apply for Issue II funds. The fact that
Issue II money would probably be available for Clifford is what
convinced the Council to do Marion this year and Clifford next year.
Mr. Bohlmann agreed that the Gity would apply jointly with Fairview for
Issue II money for Clifford, and the chance of receiving funding would
be good.
LEGISLATION
Ordnance No.91-55 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading.
An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for
bids for the purchase of two (2) six passenger, four door sedan
automobiles to be used by the Mayor and Service Director.
