Council Minutes of 4/2/91 <br />Mrs. Beringer, Chairperson of the Building, Zoning and. Development <br />Committee reported: 1) The BZD Committee met on 1~4arch 26 to complete <br />discussion of the proposed Zoning Code. Present were: Mr. Nashar, Mrs. <br />Beringer, Mr. Hill, and Building Comtaissoner Conway. The following <br />changes were made: <br />a. Page 81 under "Front Yard Street", add "No structure shall be <br />located; nor goods sold, merchanc3.ise displayed or business or business <br />activity conducted, except off street parking, within the requested <br />front yard area." <br />b. Page 95, eliminated entire paragraph "B" and re-rnsnbered all the <br />paragraphs. In paragraph "F", which was re-~nt~nbered to "E", added under <br />"Noise", "and in no case shall the noise generated exceed the applicable <br />provision for industrial use as prescribed in Chapter 555". <br />c. Page 101 C, Chapter 1149, Mixed Use District, General Setback, after <br />adding aryl eliminating it shall now read, "Each nonresidential building <br />shall be located at least 100 feet from every dedicated street right of <br />way and boundary line of mixed use development area. Such buildings <br />shall have a m;n~~~ of 25 feet of landscaped area between all boundary <br />lines, other buildings, public streets, private streets ark drives". <br />d. Chapter 1163, Signs, the Law Director and Mr. Hill will confer and <br />include another paragraph excluding political signs. <br />Z) The next step in the process of revising the Zoning Code will be to <br />hold a public hearing; this will probably take place in May. <br />Mrs. Bahas, Chairperson of the Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings <br />Committee reported: 1) The Recreation Commission met on March 13. At <br />that time, the president of the North Olmsted Softball Association <br />informed the Coymission that the groom was considering a proposal for <br />the lighting of diamond #4 at North Olmsted Park. The Commission <br />referred him to the Planning Canmission. <br />2) The fall football program has been organized; hopefully, there will <br />be a flag football program for third and fourth graders. A punt, pass, <br />and kick program is planned for the fall. <br />3) A new program has been added, Music Man, which is a movement and <br />rhythmic program designed for three to six year-olds. <br />4) Registration for the summer programs will take place on May 4. <br />5) A Fourth of July picnic will be held at the park. <br />6) HOBO will hold a tournament June 29 through July 1. <br />7) All Scouts Weekend and. the NOSO Recognition Day will be held on <br />June 7 and 8. <br />8) The ice rink will close an May 27. <br />9) The Sportsman Club is interested in making a donation to the <br />Recreation Department for conservation and outdoor programs. <br />10) Thee fishing derby and fishing instructional program will be held <br />this fall at Bradley Reservation; this program is sponsored by the <br />Recreation Department, Metro Parks, and Sportsman Club. <br />3 <br />~~~~~ <br />,~.. <br />~: <br />
