Council Minutes of 1/2/91 3) This past week, we have submitted proposed stipulations on the Cater lawsuit which deals with Thomas Stroh. Finance Director Burns reported: 1) Today, the State Auditor examined tha inventories that were taken during December at the Service Garage, the Bus Garage, and the Recreation Pro Shop. He stated it was one of the best inventories he'd ever seen. Congratulations to these departments for their efforts. 2) After reviewing the cost of upgrading our computer system to an IBM 400 and programming to coordinate, it has been decided, because of cost, the up-grading to the System 400 would riot be feasible. However, we are going to proceed with the programming change. This information will be discussed in Finance Committee. Mr. O'Grady, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee reported: 1) Moved Council have no objection to the issuance of an F-2 liquor permit to the North Olmsted Firefighters for an event to be held at 29271 Lorain Road on Saturday, February 2, from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.; second by Mr. Nashar; passed unanimously. 2) Moved Council have no objection to the issuance of an F-2 liquor permit for the St. Clarence Hooley Committee Party to be held at 30150 Lorain Road on Friday, February 8, 1991; second by Mr. Leonard; passed unanimously. Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Streets and Drainage Committee reported: 1) Commended the work of the Service. Department in cleaning storm sewers and ditches, which helped alleviate flooding in many areas. Assured residents who did have flooding that these problems will be addressed and the storm drains and ditches will be checked. Mrs. Bahas, Chairperson of the Intro-Governmental, Legislative, Long- Range Planning Committee reported: l) On Thursday, January 10, at 7:30 p.m. the Department of Human Resources will hold a Public Hearing for the Commuiity Block Grant Development Funds. 2) Moved Council reappoint Marie Case and Brian Zergott to the Architectural Review Board for the term ~ginn;ng January 1, 1991 through December 31, 1992; second by Mr. McKay; passed unanimously. 3) Moved Council reappoint David Spoerke to the Board of Building Code Appeals for the teen beginning January 1, 1991 through December 31, 1995; second by Mr. Tallon; passed unanimously. 4) Moved Council reappoint Christina Blasius and Marilyn Ranson to the Hum~ari Resources Advisory Committee for the term beginning January 1, 1991 through December 31, 1995; secoryd by Mr. Leonard; passed unanimously. 5) Moved Council reappoint Charles J. Miller, Joseph Lang, and Betty Lord to the Landmarks Commission for the term beginning January 1, 1991 through December 31, 1992; second by Mrs. Saringer; passed unanimously. 6) Moved Council reappoint Richard B. Fisher to the Parks and Recreation Commission for the term January 1, 1991 through December 31, 1993 and transfer Jack Heloc~ from the Board of Zoning Appeals to the Parks and Recreation Commission for the term beginning January 1, 1991 through December 31, 1995; second by Mrs. 5aringer; passed unanimously. 3 ~..~~.~ i
