Council Minutes of 1/2/91 <br />3) This past week, we have submitted proposed stipulations on the <br />Cater lawsuit which deals with Thomas Stroh. <br />Finance Director Burns reported: 1) Today, the State Auditor examined <br />tha inventories that were taken during December at the Service Garage, <br />the Bus Garage, and the Recreation Pro Shop. He stated it was one of <br />the best inventories he'd ever seen. Congratulations to these <br />departments for their efforts. <br />2) After reviewing the cost of upgrading our computer system to an IBM <br />400 and programming to coordinate, it has been decided, because of cost, <br />the up-grading to the System 400 would riot be feasible. However, we are <br />going to proceed with the programming change. This information will be <br />discussed in Finance Committee. <br />Mr. O'Grady, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare <br />Committee reported: 1) Moved Council have no objection to the issuance <br />of an F-2 liquor permit to the North Olmsted Firefighters for an event <br />to be held at 29271 Lorain Road on Saturday, February 2, from 7 p.m. to <br />12:30 a.m.; second by Mr. Nashar; passed unanimously. <br />2) Moved Council have no objection to the issuance of an F-2 liquor <br />permit for the St. Clarence Hooley Committee Party to be held at 30150 <br />Lorain Road on Friday, February 8, 1991; second by Mr. Leonard; passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Streets and Drainage Committee reported: <br />1) Commended the work of the Service. Department in cleaning storm <br />sewers and ditches, which helped alleviate flooding in many areas. <br />Assured residents who did have flooding that these problems will be <br />addressed and the storm drains and ditches will be checked. <br />Mrs. Bahas, Chairperson of the Intro-Governmental, Legislative, Long- <br />Range Planning Committee reported: l) On Thursday, January 10, at 7:30 <br />p.m. the Department of Human Resources will hold a Public Hearing for <br />the Commuiity Block Grant Development Funds. <br />2) Moved Council reappoint Marie Case and Brian Zergott to the <br />Architectural Review Board for the term ~ginn;ng January 1, 1991 <br />through December 31, 1992; second by Mr. McKay; passed unanimously. <br />3) Moved Council reappoint David Spoerke to the Board of Building Code <br />Appeals for the teen beginning January 1, 1991 through December 31, <br />1995; second by Mr. Tallon; passed unanimously. <br />4) Moved Council reappoint Christina Blasius and Marilyn Ranson to the <br />Hum~ari Resources Advisory Committee for the term beginning January 1, <br />1991 through December 31, 1995; secoryd by Mr. Leonard; passed <br />unanimously. <br />5) Moved Council reappoint Charles J. Miller, Joseph Lang, and Betty <br />Lord to the Landmarks Commission for the term beginning January 1, 1991 <br />through December 31, 1992; second by Mrs. Saringer; passed unanimously. <br />6) Moved Council reappoint Richard B. Fisher to the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission for the term January 1, 1991 through December 31, <br />1993 and transfer Jack Heloc~ from the Board of Zoning Appeals to the <br />Parks and Recreation Commission for the term beginning January 1, 1991 <br />through December 31, 1995; second by Mrs. 5aringer; passed unanimously. <br />3 <br />~..~~.~ <br />i <br />
