Council Minutes of 1/7/92 <br />Mrs. Saringer, Chairperson of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee <br />reported: 1) Referred the Christ the King development, the Barton Road <br />property, to the Planning Commission. <br />2) Ordinance 92-1 which involves the rezoning for the Viewpoint development has <br />been approved by the BZD Committee. <br />Mrs. Babas, Chairperson of the Legislative and Recreation Committees reported: <br />1) Moved that Council confirm the following reappointments: <br />Architectural Review Board - Thomas Gallagher, D. Young Hun Sohn <br />Board_of Building Code Appeals - Joseph Kazak <br />Human Resources Advisory Board - Lori Hardony <br />Landmarks Commission - Rita Patterson, Lois Van Auken, Debbie Wilkins <br />The motion was seconded by Mrs. Saringer, and it passed unanimously. <br />2) Moved that Council confirm the appointment of Ronald Tallon to the Planning <br />Commission to serve from January 1, 1992 through December 31, 1996. Mrs. <br />Saringer seconded the motion, and it passed unanimously. <br />3) The Legislative Comtmi_ttee will hold a meeting to interview the raw <br />appointment to the Board of Zoning Appeals, Sue Ferencik. <br />4) James Hines has been appointed to the Civil Service C~nmi.ssion; this <br />appointment does not require confirmation by Council. <br />5) The Recreation Comni.ttee will schedule a meeting to interview the new <br />appointment to the Recreation Commission, David Gardner. <br />Mr. Leonard, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee <br />reported: 1) Moved that Council approve the transfer of a D5/D6 liquor permit <br />from Ruthie Inc., DBA Rosemary's Red Carpet at 24775 Lorain Road, to Bally <br />Healy, Inc., DBA Bears Den at 24775 Lorain Road; second by Mr. Nashar; passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mrs. Saringer reported for the Finance Committee: 1) Ordinance 92-2, a transfer <br />ordinance on tonight's agenda, will be passed under suspension of the rules. <br />Audience Partici ation <br />Jim Petitto, 1 Lucydale Avenue, was concerned because his tree lawn had been <br />dug up by City workers. <br />Ethel Zeager, 27066 Kennedy Ridge extension at the corner of Lucydale, was also <br />concerned with the work being done to the tree lawns. She felt the work was a <br />health and safety hazard. <br />Safety Director Bohl.mann explained that the work was being done for maintenance <br />purposes. The City has invested a good deal of money in the streets in that <br />~, area and is trying to provide for proper run-off of the road by creating swales. <br />If need be, the City will culvert the street, put in surface drains, aril restore <br />any grass that was taken up.
