Council Minutes of 12-07-2010 <br />,,., <br />,, <br />Dept. to allow for additional snow plow drivers. The committee voted 2-0 for <br />approval of Ordinance 2010-146 with amendments and suspension. <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to amend Ordinance 2010-146 as read with the <br />statement "additionally making a rate adjustment in the Department of Public Service for <br />support personnel (part-time and seasonal) and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Jones. Roll Call: Barker, yes; Jones, yes; <br />Orlowki, no; Brossard, yes; Kearney, no; Williamson, yes; Mahoney, no. The <br />amendment to Ordinance 2010-146 passes 4-3. <br />• 2010-148 is a Resolution directing the Auditor of Cuyahoga County to pay to the <br />City of North Olmsted, Ohio, during the year 2011, all money due and owing said <br />city from any collection source. The committee voted 2-0 for approval of <br />Resolution 2010-148 with suspension. <br />• 2010-150 is an Ordinance to revise the Codified Ordinances by adopting current <br />replacement pages, and declaring an emergency. The cost will be $8,389.80 plus <br />shipping. Money was transferred to cover this cost in a previous transfer <br />ordinance. The committee voted 2-0 for approval of Ordinance 2010-150. <br />• Ordinance 2010-153 is an Ordinance dispensing with a formal RFP process and <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Hazen and Sawyer, P.C. to <br />provide continued engineering design and other related professional services to <br />the City of North Olmsted in connection with proposed improvements to the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collections System, and declaring an <br />emergency. The reason for this Ordinance is ATS Engineering and Hazen and <br />Sawyer, P.C. have merged. The individuals from ATS will remain on this project <br />involving the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The committee voted 2-0 for approval <br />of Ordinance 2010-153 with suspension. <br />• Third Quarter Financial Review -Director of Finance Copfer reported on the <br />state of the City at the end of nine months. The City is in fair shape. Everyone <br />involved has been diligently staying within the budget that was passed in March. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m. <br />Councilwoman Jones, Chairwoman of the Building, Zoning and Development <br />Committee: <br />The BZD Committee met on Thursday, December 2 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Jones, Barker and Mahoney; Council members Kearney, Brossard, <br />Orlowski and Williamson; Council President Limpert; Director of Planning and <br />Development Wenger and Director of Law Gareau. <br />• Discussed first was an amendment to the preliminary plan at North Olmsted Town <br />Center. When there are amendments to preliminary land use plans, the City Code <br />states that at the time after approval of the preliminary land use plan or the detail <br />plan for the development, the owners may make a request for an amendment in <br />which case the following procedure must take place: if the amendment deals with <br />the preliminary land use plan, such request shall be filed with the Council and <br />4 <br /> <br />
