Council Minutes of 12-07-2010 • Next was Liquor Permit transfer from KSY Enterprises, Inc. dba Daishin Japanese Steak House to CPSY, Inc. dba Daishin Japanese Steak House located at 26092 Brookpark Road. The North Olmsted Police Dept. conducted a background investigation and found nothing that would cause an objection to this transfer. • The last item was for a new liquor permit request from Ruby Tuesday, Inc. dba Ruby Tuesday located at 26774 Lorain Road. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to not object to liquor permit transfer no. 65172420810 Ohio CVS Stores LLC dba CVS Pharmacy located at 23351 Lorain Road. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Motion to not object to liquor permit transfer for CVS Pharmacy passes 7-0. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to not object to liquor permit transfer no. 1171022 CPSY, Inc. dba Daishin Japanese Steak House located at 26092 Brookpark Road. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Motion to not object to liquor permit transfer for Daishin Japanese Steak House passes 7-0. Council President Limpert mentioned that he attended the Northeast Ohio City Council Association presentation on November 18, 2010, which covered state funding to cities next year. He also mentioned that Nicole Dailey Jones is the new Vice President of the Northeast Ohio City Council Association. He provided a brief update on the Wastewater Treatment Facility improvements. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane commended the Administration regarding the leaf pick-up. He referenced the Council President's comments regarding the Wastewater Treatment Plant. He said he was at the meetings when they considered the rebuilding and modernization of the plant - it would not affect the sewers north of Lorain or the flooding situations there either. At the time he requested any consideration of disconnecting north of Lorain and negotiating with the Rocky River Sewer Plant for a gravitational pull toward the lake and not pumping it uphill. He said he would not be too quick to call all shots off on that. He referenced an article in the Sun News about the Charter amendments. He said the civil service duties and responsibilities, and the union contract is not fully understood. Union contracts cover wages, benefits and working conditions. It does not cover anything else.
