Council Minutes of 11-16-2010 seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2010-137 adopted. Resolution 2010-139 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Public Safety to make application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for participation in, and grant funding for, the 2011 Third Grade Safety Belt Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded and to execute a contract with the State of Ohio Department of Public Safety, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2010-140 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution further extending the moratorium on the issuance of building, zoning or occupancy permits for premises equipped with mechanical or electronic gaming devices, video arcades or parlors, and Internet cybercafes; and further extending the prohibition against certain license, similar use permit, variance or development plan approval pending regulations for said facilities, and declaring an emergency. A Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Public Safety to make application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for participation in, and grant funding for, the 2011 OVI Task Force Overtime Grant; and further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded and to execute a contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2010-143 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy.
