~~*: <br />:~ <br />Council Minutes of 09-08-2010 <br />~m <br />Ordinance 2010-113 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2010. <br />Resolution 2010-114 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one <br />year contract with Cuyahoga County/the Cuyahoga County Engineer for the purpose of <br />providing inspection services for bridges and culverts, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Brossard made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Brossard moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and <br />passed unanimously. Resolution 2010-114 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-115 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 135 of the Administrative Code entitled <br />"Department of Finance" in order to provide for the organization thereof and further to <br />expand the authority of the Department of Finance to settle disputes, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-115 adopted. <br />Resolution 2010-116 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy on <br />behalf of himself and Council members Barker, Brossard and Jones. A Resolution <br />approving the award of a Job Creation Grant to Morris Cadillac Buick GMC; further <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a grant agreement; and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and <br />passed unanimously. Resolution 2010-116 adopted. <br />Resolution 2010-117 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to accept a <br />grant from Wal-Mart to be used for a National Day of Service project, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilwoman Jones made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. <br />Councilwoman Jones moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2010-117 adopted. <br />Resolution 2010-118 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to apply for Staffing for Adequate <br />Fire & Emergency Response ("SAFER") Grant funding from the Department of <br />Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency ("FEMA") and further <br />authorizing the Mayor to accept said grant if awarded and to execute a contract with <br />FEMA, and declaring an emergency.
