CMS 10-09 <br />Sprinter of North Olmsted approved. <br />Councilwoman Jones announced that Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the <br />Fairview Park Gemini Center she, in conjunction with Fairview Park, will be hosting an <br />evening regarding the RPI Initiative. She reminded all elected officials and invitees to <br />RSVP if attending. <br />Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Intra-Governmental Relations <br />Committee: <br />The Intra-Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 7:15 <br />p.m. Present were committee members Williamson, Jones and Mahoney; Council <br />members Barker, Brossard, Orlowski and Kearney; Council President Limpert; Mayor <br />Kennedy; Finance Director Copfer; Safety Director Thomas; Planning Director Wenger; <br />guests. <br />• Resolution 2010-42 is a Resolution supporting the application of the Olmsted <br />Historical Society for the Preserve America Stewards Program, and declaring an <br />emergency. Planning Director Wenger explained this Resolution deals with the <br />National Recognition Program and identifies groups for grass roots efforts at <br />preserving local history and landmarks. She believes that the Olmsted Historical <br />Society fits the bill for such recognition for their dedicated approach to preserving <br />local history, encouragement of volunteers, promotion of educational <br />opportunities and their coordination of government, non-government and private <br />entities towards their mission. They should be recognized for their work at <br />Frostville Museum and promoting the City of North Olmsted. Councilwoman <br />Jones and Councilman Orlowski supported Wenger's recommendation. <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to recommend approval of Resolution <br />2010-42. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed 3-0. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Jerome Barrett, 24125 Lebern Drive said he attended the farewell gathering on April 14 <br />for Lisa Thomas. She told him that a piece of correspondence signed "the secretaries" <br />addressed to the city of Galion had been returned to North Olmsted City Hall by the <br />USPS. She said the correspondence contained disparaging remarks about her. She also <br />showed him a card she received at her gathering which also contained a disparaging <br />message. Barrett said he recognized the signature on the card - from a North Olmsted <br />firefighter. He feels this is unacceptable. Mayor Kennedy thanked Barrett for his <br />comments. Kennedy sent a memo to all employees reminding them to be respectful to <br />each other. Kennedy said as far as the correspondence signed "the secretaries" is <br />9 <br /> <br />
