;z,:~ <br />Council Minutes of 04-06-2010 <br />Resolution 2010-39 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase two (2) Ford F-350, four wheel drive pick- <br />up trucks and two (2) snow plows through the State Purchase Program; and further <br />authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessazy to effectuate such purchase, <br />and declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings as this was discussed during the budget process and during <br />caucus this evening. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Kearney. Roll Call: Barker, yes; Kearney, yes; Mahoney, yes; Williamson, <br />yes; Orlowski, yes with comment. I just hope the Mayor will take a look at the purchase <br />of two parts manuals and two shop manuals. Possibly we can get by with one of each <br />and save six hundred dollars. Roll Call continued: Jones, yes. Resolution 2010-39 <br />adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2010-40 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to advertise for bids for cracksealing on various streets <br />in the city, as per specifications on file, and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Orlowski made a motion <br />to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this is time sensitive and an answer was <br />received on the amount of tonnage that is planned on being purchased. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Councilman Orlowski <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2010-40 adopted. <br />Resolution 2010-41 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman Jones. <br />A Resolution declaring a moratorium on the issuance of building, zoning, or occupancy <br />permits for premises equipped with mechanical or electronic gaming devices, video <br />arcades or parlors, and Internet cybercafes; and further prohibiting any game room <br />license, similar use permit, variance or development plan approval for said facilities; and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Jones made a motion to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings so the Law Department can have time to review how best to <br />incorporate these facilities within the Zoning Code. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilwoman Jones moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously Resolution <br />2010-41 adopted. <br />Resolution 2010=42 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution supporting the application of the Olmsted Historical Society for the Preserve <br />America Stewards Program, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2010-43 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to provide for <br />the installation of two (2) "Stop Here on Red" signs on Valley Parkway Drive at its <br />intersection with Cedar Point Road; and declaring an emergency. Councilman Mahoney <br />made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings for the reason stated at <br />11 <br />.„, K.w~~..~,~,~-. ~ .~~.rp ~ ,. ->,_. <br />
