Council Minutes of 04-06-2010 <br />making our communities safer, stronger and better prepared for preventing, <br />preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies and disasters of all <br />types. The team is working to make the Westshore communities both disaster <br />resistant and disaster resilient. On March 13~', the largest basic training class to <br />date graduated 42 Westshore residents, bring the team to 200 members. Some of <br />those graduates are here tonight along with many veteran team members. <br />Mayor Kennedy recognized the following CERT volunteers: <br />New Graduates: <br />Charles McKee <br />Karin E. For more information on this program, please call City <br />Hall and speak with Trish Granfors. <br />President Limpert asked about the brush round up. Mayor Kennedy said the brush round <br />up will start May 10 and continue for about two weeks. At any time residents can get <br />their brush picked up by the garbage service if it is placed in 4x4 bundles or in a garbage <br />can. <br />Law Director Gareau: <br />A lot of time in the Law Department has been devoted to 2010-41. This is an <br />effort directed to a moratorium on the issuance of game room licenses and various <br />Building Department permits and licenses. The issue arises by virtue of a <br />proliferation of sweepstakes cybercafes throughout the state of Ohio. The Zoning <br />Code does not presently allow for this type of use in any zoning district. As a <br />result, the Zoning Code should be updated to deal with this issue as well as the <br />3 <br />
