. ~' r Council Minutes of 03-16-2010 meeting and noted by the Finance Director. Mr. Barker made a motion to recommend approval for 2010-24 as discussed with the above listed corrections. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Jones and the vote was 3 - 0 for approval. Councilman Barker made a motion to amend 2010-24 with the technical corrections as discussed and as being submitted to the Clerk. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Jones and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-24 amended. Councilwoman Jones had no report regarding the BZD Committee, but she reported on the Regional Prosperity Initiative. Because there were not a large number of Council people present at that particular presentation, she and Councilwoman Peggy Cleary of Fairview Park met with the promoters of the RPI and asked them if they would be willing to come to the west shore and make the presentation again to Council members, Mayors, Finance Directors, Planners and the Economic Developers of the cities on the west side. The presentation is going to be Wednesday, March 31 at the Gemini Center in Fairview Park. Councilman Mahoney, Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 6:45 p.m. Present were committee members Mahoney, Kearney and Williamson; Council members Orlowski, Jones, Brossard, Limpert and Barker. • The only item on the agenda was a new liquor permit no. 5897189, and that pertains to Mi Pollo, Inc. DBA as Mi Pollo as a new Mexican restaurant on Lorain Road. The address is 27600 Lorain Road, North Olmsted Ohio. Upon performing a background check for the applicant, Lt. Ron Cox of the North Olmsted Police Department found no problems with this particular owner of the business establishment. That was relayed at the committee meeting. A motion was made by Councilman Mahoney to recommend to not object to the liquor permit. The motion passed 3-0. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to not object to new liquor permit for Mi Pollo, Inc. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Liquor permit no. 5897189 for Mi Pollo, Inc. located at 27600 Lorain Road approved. Councilman Kearney, Chairman of the Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee: The Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee met Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 6:50 p.m. Present were committee members Kearney, Brossard, and Orlowski; members of Council; Mayor Kennedy; Finance Director Copfer and Planning Director Wenger. 8
