The deadline for the committee to vote <br />on potential changes is mid-March. <br />Assistant Law Director O'Malley: <br />• No report from the Law Department. <br />Finance Director Copfer: <br />• She also participated in the AFSCME Clerical/Tech mediation and the Healthcare <br />Committee. <br />• She had an hour and a half phone conference with the fire district's financial <br />consultants. They had a lot of follow-up questions, and there will be more <br />because there's only a first draft available. <br />• The city received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial <br />Reporting for the 2008 comprehensive annual financial report. The Certificate of <br />Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and <br />financial reporting. Its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the <br />city's government and management, and shows that the city is interested and <br />concerned about proper financial reporting to taxpayers and investors. This is <br />given by the Government Finance Officers Association. <br />Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />• Codified Ordinances can now be viewed online. There is a link on the city's <br />website, which takes you to www.conway~reene.com/northolmsted.htm. On <br />behalf of all of Council, he thanked the Clerk of Council, Marie Gallo, for <br />pursuing this matter. <br />• He announced that Finance Committee meetings are scheduled for March 4, <br />March 6, and March 9 to discuss the 2010 budget. Revenue stream, budgetary <br />assumptions, debt service, Finance Department and Council will be discussed on <br />March 4. Various departments will be discussed on March 6, and the Law <br />Department will be discussed on March 9 as well as a budget follow-up of <br />Ordinance 2010-24. <br />• Councilman Baker requested a moment of personal privilege. He commended the <br />Building Department and Law Department for their due diligence regarding <br />property maintenance issues.
