Council Minutes of 02-16-10 <br />Ordinance 2010-16 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $900,000 of Notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of Bonds, for the purpose of improving Clague Road and certain other <br />designated streets in the city by preparing the surface and resurfacing with asphaltic <br />concrete, together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-16 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-17 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $1,010,000 of Notes, in anticipation of <br />the issuance of Bonds, to provide funds to pay costs of improving Dover Center Road and <br />certain other designated streets in the city, in cooperation with Cuyahoga County and <br />otherwise, by constructing, reconstructing and rehabilitating the pavement base, storm <br />sewers, storm water drainage structures, curbs, curb ramps and sidewalks, where <br />necessary, preparing the surface and resurfacing, in each case together with the necessary <br />appurtenances and work incidental thereto, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-17 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-18 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $1,015,000 of Notes, in anticipation of <br />the issuance of Bonds, to provide funds to pay costs of improving Arlington Lane and <br />certain other designated streets in the city between certain termini by reconstructing and <br />rehabilitating the pavement base, constructing and reconstructing curbs and curb ramps <br />and adjusting catch basins, manholes and water valve and monument boxes, where <br />necessary, preparing the surface and resurfacing, in each case together with the necessary <br />appurtenances and work incidental thereto. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney. Roll Call: Barker, yes; Kearney, yes; <br />Mahoney, yes; Orlowski, yes with comment. I hope the two streets in Ward IV which <br />were removed from the 2010 year paving list receive more than a scratch and a patch. If <br />not, the numerical rating of these two streets should not change. Roll Call continued: <br />Jones, yes; Brossard, yes; Williamson, yes. Ordinance 2010-18 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-19 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $320,000 of Notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of Bonds, to provide funds to pay costs of acquiring a Sewer Jet Truck and all <br />necessary appurtenances and related equipment for use in carrying out functions of the <br />City's Department of Public Service. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />2010-19 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-12 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted of <br />amendments to Article V, Sections 1, 4, 5, and 6 of the Charter of the City of North <br />Olmsted to abolish the Departments of Public Service, Public Safety and Community <br />Life Services as Charter-level departments; and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />8 <br />
