Council Minutes of 12-20-2011 <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane wished everyone on Council a very Merry Christmas <br />and a very healthy, prosperous New Year. He also extended these wishes to Gareau, <br />Kennedy, Copfer and various people that serve the community. He said we may not <br />always agree but he is able to separate the personal from the business end of what he <br />does, and he means that sincerely. Lambert also extended his personal sympathy to <br />Barker for the loss of his mother. <br />Chase Ritenauer, 2515 Garfield Blvd, Lorain 44052 thanked everybody for the <br />opportunity to serve the City of North Olmsted for the past year and a half. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2011-116 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to advertise for bids <br />for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the Country Club <br />Boulevard Streetscape Project, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Engineering <br />Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to <br />contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring and emergency. <br />Councilman Mahoney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution 2011-116 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2011-120 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into atwo-year <br />agreement with J.L. Hilton Company to provide amusement gaming machines at the <br />North Olmsted Recreation Center. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />2011-120 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2011-121 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into atwo-year <br />agreement with Bob's Ice Cream, Inc., DBA Quality Quick Snacks, providing for <br />vending services at the North Olmsted Recreation Center. Councilman Kearney moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance 2011-121 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2011-134 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to renew the contract between the City and Karrie Skall <br />Tipton for the provision of professional gymnastics instruction services at the North <br />Olmsted Recreation Center for an additional two (2) years. <br />Resolution 2011-135 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading.
