Council Minutes of 09-20-2011 <br />I, personally, and I am sure the rest of Council hope the Planning/Development Director <br />is successful in securing the financial help for the city. Even a portion of the amount <br />sought would be helpful in light of the financial uncertainty faced by cities in the State of <br />Ohio. <br />Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare <br />Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee met Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at <br />7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Williamson, Mahoney and Schumann, <br />Council President Limpert; Council members Barker, Brossard, Kearney and Orlowski; <br />Law Director Gareau, Safety/Service Director Thomas and guests. <br />• Discussed was liquor permit no. 6587217 for Osaka II, LLC located at 25102 <br />Brookpark Road. Lt. Cox of the North Olmsted Police Dept. found no issues with <br />the applicant. The committee voted 3-0 to not object to liquor permit no. 6587217 <br />Osaka II. <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to not object to liquor permit no. 6587217 for <br />Osaka II located at 25102 Brookpark Road. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Schumann and passed unanimously. Liquor permit no. 6587217 for Osaka II located at <br />25102 Brookpark Road approved. <br />Councilwoman Williamson took a moment of personal privilege to announce that <br />Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. the North Olmsted Police Department and <br />West Shore Safety Forces will be playing the North Ridgeville Police Department in their <br />6th annual Battle of the Gridiron Flag Football game at North Ridgeville High School, <br />35895 Center Ridge Road. Game admission is $3.00 and all proceeds go to the Special <br />Olympics of Ohio <br />County Council member Dave Greenspan presented a Proclamation to Paul Schumann <br />recognizing him as the 2011 North Olmsted Community Council Citizen of the Year. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane said regarding the cell tower, he suggested to look at <br />the tower at Clague and I-480 regarding sharing space for communications. He <br />referenced Ordinance 2011-96 which is the Johnson, Miller & Schmitz contract. He <br />asked from what account their charges have been taken. Copfer said it is distributed <br />depending on with who the city is negotiating. If they are negotiating with the Service <br />Dept., it comes out of Service. Clerical/Tech comes out of Human Resources because it <br />covers a lot of different departments. Police, fire and dispatch have their own area as <br />well. They are charged to the police, fire and service depts. in the general fund. Lambert <br />said it wouldn't be charged to the Law Dept. Copfer said it's not the function of the Law <br />Dept. to have labor negotiations. It's the responsibility of the Mayor. Lambert said the <br />4 <br />
