`~.. , Council Minutes of 09-06-2011 .,,.:. • There were continuing discussions regarding the redistricting of the wards in North Olmsted. Triad Research's consultant, Bob Dykes, presented five plans that Council will review. Once Council makes a decision on a particular plan, the plan will be approved during a regular Council meeting. Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Finance Committee: The Finance Committee met Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Barker, Kearney and Schumann; Council President Limpert; Council members Mahoney, Orlowski and Williamson; Human Resources Director Farver and Planning/Development Director Wenger. • Discussed was Resolution 2011-91 which is a Resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals to purchase excess insurance coverage for the City Health Care & Hospitalization Plans for 2012, and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for said services and insurance. This is for stop-loss coverage, and the city goes out for bid every year to cover the first $75,000 per employee. The committee voted 3-0 for approval of Resolution 2011-91. Councilman Barker took a moment of personal privilege to announce that the next NOCCA meeting will be Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cuyahoga County Council Chambers. The subject of the meeting is how to secure county property reappraisals and how the appeals process impacts municipal budgets. Cuyahoga County Council member David Greenspan will be having a Town Hall meeting Thursday September 8, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the North Olmsted Council Chambers. Councilman Mahoney, Chairman of the Building, Zoning & Development Committee: The BZD Committee met Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 7:15 p.m. Present were committee members Mahoney, Kearney and Barker; Council President Limpert; Council members Orlowski, Schumann and Williamson; and Planning/Development Director Wenger. • Discussed was Ordinance 2011-93 which is an Ordinance amending and re- establishing Chapter 1369 of the Building Code entitled "Fences and Screen Walls" in order to change substantive standards and update procedures. The committee voted 3-0 for approval of Ordinance 2011-93.
