Council Minutes of 09-06-2011 Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2011-89 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS), Ohio Emergency Management Agency (Ohio EMA) to establish the Ohio Region 2 Collapse Search & Rescue (OHR2). A Resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals to purchase excess insurance coverage for the City Health Care & Hospitalization Plans for 2012, and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for said services and insurance. Ordinance 2011-93 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 1369 of the Building Code entitled "Fences and Screen Walls" in order to change substantive standards and update procedures. Resolution 2011-94 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Schumann. A Resolution directing the Auditor of Cuyahoga County to pay to the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, during the year 2012, all money due and owing said city from any collection source. Resolution 2011-95 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County Fiscal Officer. Ordinance 2011-96 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance dispensing with an RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Johnson, Miller & Schmitz LLP providing for the latter to continue to serve as the City's labor negotiator, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2011-97 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Planning and Development to make application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for participation in the Ohio Public Works Commission ("OPWC") State Capital and Local Transportation Improvement Programs for the purpose of obtaining financial assistance for the Wastewater System Improvements Project and further authorizing the Mayor to accept said assistance if 6 w. ,__~_ ~,:,~r..~_ .,_.. _.
