The 2011 estimate is 1.1 <br />million which is not reflecting the 25% reduction. <br />Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Barker, Kearney and Schumann; Council President Limpert; Council <br />members Brossard, Mahoney, Orlowski and Williamson; Mayor Kennedy, Director of <br />Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, Safety/Service Director Thomas, Human <br />Resources Director Farver and Planning/Development Director Wenger. <br />• Discussed first was Resolution 2011-84 which is a Resolution authorizing the <br />Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to <br />construct improvements to the sanitary sewer collection system at various <br />locations in the city, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service <br />Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of <br />Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring <br />an emergency. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval with <br />suspension. <br />• Discussed last was Ordinance 2011-86 which is an Ordinance to make and <br />transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of <br />North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2011, and declaring an <br />emergency, as amended. The report is on file in the Clerk's office. The <br />committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval with suspension and amendments. <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to amend 2011-86 to cover the severance not <br />budgeted by the Finance Dept. and for anticipated retirement, concession give-backs, new <br />guns purchase, certified local government grant to document Butternut Ridge properties <br />and overtime in collection systems wages. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2011-86 amended. <br />Councilman Barker took a moment of personal privilege to announce NOCCA's <br />quarterly meeting on September 15, 2011 at the Cuyahoga County Council Chambers. <br />The topic will be how the 6-year County property reappraisals and appeals process <br />impact municipal budgets. <br />Councilman Mahoney, Chairman of the Building, Zoning & Development Committee: <br />The BZD Committee met Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. Present were committee <br />members Mahoney, Kearney and Barker; Council President Limpert; Council members <br />Brossard, Orlowski, Schumann and Williamson; and Planning/Development Director <br />Wenger. <br />• Discussed was Ordinance 2011-65 which is an Ordinance amending Section <br />1139.01 of the North Olmsted Zoning Code entitled "General Retail Business <br />3 <br /> <br />
