The <br />committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval with amendment. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to amend Ordinance 2011-65 to add to 1139.01(a)5 <br />to simplify the paragraph to have one sentence that reads "facilities for religious worship <br />and incidental religious education, recreation and assembly buildings". The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2011-65 amended. <br />Councilman Brossard, Chairman of the Streets & Transportation Committee: <br />The Streets & Transportation Committee met Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 7:45 p.m. <br />Present were committee members Brossard, Orlowski and Williamson; Council President <br />Limpert; Council members Barker, Kearney, Mahoney and Schumann; <br />Planning/Development Director Wenger and the City Engineer. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2011-82 which is a Resolution authorizing the Director <br />of Planning and Development to make application to the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation for Municipal Load Rating Program funding; further authorizing <br />the Mayor to accept funding if awarded and to execute contracts if necessary, and <br />declaring an emergency. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval with <br />suspension. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane expressed his personal appreciation to all of the <br />members of Council but Schumann (because he was not on Council at the time) for <br />providing him with a new street during a difficult economic time. He also thanked <br />Mayor Kennedy and Copfer. Overall it's a very good project. Lambert submitted <br />pictures of two properties and the sewers by the properties. One of the entire sewer <br />crocks is broken and shattered. Sand, dirt, gravel and asphalt is going into the sewers. <br />Lambert said he would appreciate a sign at the beginning of the street that reads "No <br />Salt" and "Drive Carefully". This will save the city salt and prevent destruction of the <br />street. He thanked everyone again on behalf of his neighbors on the street. <br />Jeff Sturgeon, 3092 W. 231 thanked Mayor Kennedy for putting effort into the storm and <br />sanitary sewers. He asked if North Olmsted has a camera to go into the main. Mayor <br />Kennedy said the city does not. Gareau said the city is looking into a new camera truck <br />that a lateral camera. Mayor Kennedy said it's in the budget. Sturgeon asked about the <br />plan for the storm sewers. Mayor Kennedy said they are developing it as they go. <br />Sewers and catch basins are very important in the short-term. The problem is the large <br />amounts of rain in a small amount of time. They are identifying problems in the system <br />right now and making a list of priorities. Sturgeon asked if there will be more money in <br />the budget to improve the storm sewers. Mayor Kennedy said they are discussing that <br />right now and putting together along-term plan for that. <br />4 <br />
