Council Minutes of 08-16-2011 <br />Al Previte, 23807 Curtis Drive asked how soon you can place your trash out. <br />Councilman Orlowski said no eazlier than 6:00 p.m. the night before. Previte <br />recommended more enforcement of the Ordinance. Previte asked why there is an <br />ordinance to prohibit pazking on both sides of the street. Council President Limpert said <br />to make easier access for safety vehicles, etc. He has a neighbor that consistently places <br />his garbage out two or three days prior to garbage day and he has issues with his <br />swimming pool. His neighbor's fence is also falling down. He said he wants <br />enforcement of the ordinances. Previte asked if there is an ordinance for blocking the <br />sidewalk and Council President Limpert said there is. Previte said he has called the <br />police dept. repeatedly and people will not stop blocking the sidewalk. Mayor Kennedy <br />said people should have been ticketed if the police dept. has been called. Previte said his <br />neighbor's fence was approved but there are problems with it. Councilman Orlowski said <br />the fence is not up to the standards of our Code. Mayor Kennedy recommended that the <br />Safety/Service Director take all of the information from Previte. <br />Marvin Stotz, 6657 Bretton Ridge Drive read from his "Ideas for Improving North <br />Olmsted" which is on file in the Clerk's office. He said North Olmsted is a wonderful <br />city and the city needs to do more to promote itself. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2011-76 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one <br />year contract with Andrew J. Futey, LLC (DBA Andrew J. Futey & Associates) for the <br />purpose of providing grant consulting services to the city. Councilman Barker moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney. Roll Call: Barker, yes; <br />Kearney, yes; Schumann, yes; Orlowski, no; Brossard, yes; Williamson, no; Mahoney, <br />no. Resolution adopted 4-3. <br />Ordinance 2011-65 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 1139.01 of the North Olmsted Zoning Code entitled <br />"General Retail Business District" to permit religious uses, including churches and <br />related buildings, as amended. <br />Resolution 2011-82 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to make application to <br />the Ohio Department of Transportation for Municipal Load Rating Program funding; <br />further authorizing the Mayor to accept funding if awarded and to execute contracts if <br />necessary, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Brossazd made a motion to suspend <br />the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman <br />Williamson and passed unanimously. Councilman Brossard moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution 2011-82 adopted. <br />5 <br /> <br />
