Council Minutes of 08-16-2011 <br />Resolution 2011-84 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to construct improvements to the sanitary sewer collection system at various <br />locations in the city, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, <br />and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for <br />the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Barker made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2011-84 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2011-86 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2011, and <br />declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the <br />rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2011-86 adopted. <br />Resolution 2011-87 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor on behalf of the City to accept a donation from <br />Fairview/Cleveland Clinic Hospital for seven (7) Automated External Defilbrillator <br />(AED) Units for installation in North Olmsted police cruisers, together with cost of <br />training, in the total amount of $10,594.00, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman <br />Williamson made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal <br />committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed <br />unanimously. Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2011-87 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution 2011-88 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with CVS Pharmacy, Inc. for <br />the administration of influenza vaccinations at the North Olmsted Senior Center. <br />Resolution 2011-89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) <br />in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS), Ohio Emergency <br />Management Agency (Ohio EMA) to establish the Ohio Region 2 Collapse Search & <br />Rescue (OHR2). <br />Resolution 2011-90 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Public Safety to make application on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted fora 2011 National Association of Drug Diversion <br />Investigators ("NADDI") Drug Drop Box Grant; further authorizing the Mayor to accept <br />the grant if awarded; and to execute a contract with NADDI, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings <br />6 <br />
