Council Minutes of 04-OS-2011 <br /> <br />and Water Conservation District to provide Minimum Control Measures 1 & 2. <br />Control Measures 1 & 2 consist of public education and public involvement. The <br />SWCD will provide for this with information, prepared mailings, public <br />awareness through posters at high traffic locations, and stormwater events <br />consisting of spring clean-ups, workshops, etc.; newspaper articles; education <br />events for schools. All of this will take place in the Rocky River Watershed. <br />They will also help in the development of ordinances to promote BMP's at <br />construction sites. The SWCD will also provide a written annual report to the <br />City which the City will file as part of its annual report to the Ohio EPA. The <br />committee voted 3-0 for approval of Resolution 2011-32. The meeting was <br />adjourned at 7:04 p.m. <br />Councilman Mahoney, Chairman of the Building, Zoning & Development Committee: <br />The BZD Committee met Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee <br />members Mahoney, Kearney and Barker; Council President Limpert; Council members <br />Brossard, Schumann, Orlowski and Williamson; Mayor Kennedy and <br />Planning/Development Director Wenger. <br />• American Radiator (CMS 11-01) -This is a conditional use permit for a <br />automobile repair establishment located at 30514 Lorain Road. The future tenant <br />indicated that the building will be used for afour-bay repair shop. There will be <br />no painting or body work done at this particular location. The applicant proposed <br />to make some site improvements including the striping of the parking lot and <br />planting of additional evergreen trees along the north property line. Some minor <br />property maintenance issues would also be addressed. The committee voted 3-0 <br />to recommend approval of CMS 11-01 American Radiator. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to approve CMS 11-01 American Radiator at 30514 <br />Lorain Road with the conditions set forth by the Planning and Design Commission. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. CMS11-O1 <br />American Radiator approved. <br />• Sunoco (CMS11-02) -This is a proposal that consists of a building addition and <br />site improvements to the former Sunoco Gas Station located at Clague and Lorain <br />Road, and for a new Sunoco Gas Station at that same location. The former auto <br />service area will be converted and expanded. The committee voted 3-0 to <br />recommend approval of CMS11-02 Sunoco. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to approve CMS 11-02 Sunoco located at the <br />Clague and Lorain intersection subject to the conditions set forth by the Planning and <br />Design Commission. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker. Roll Call: <br />Mahoney, yes; Barker, yes with comment. After Mr. Mahoney's report and reviewing <br />the plans and being in Ward II, this will be a very welcome new business at the corner of <br />Clague and Lorain, and that corner will look better. I think hopefully it will spark some <br />other business in that area to "spruce up" a little bit. I'm looking forward to seeing this <br />4 <br />
