~:~_. , <br />~* <br />Council Minutes of 03-15-2011 <br />Councilman Mahoney. Roll Call: Barker, yes with comment. I would like to send my <br />thanks to the Law Dept., especially Assistant Law Director O'Malley and the Chamber of <br />Commerce and Police Dept. for working on this amending of Chapter 755. It was a long <br />work in process and I appreciate it. Thank you. My vote is yes. Roll Call continued: <br />Mahoney, yes; Orlowski, yes; Williamson, yes; Schumann, yes; Kearney, yes. Ordinance <br />2011-21 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2011-23 introduced by Mayor Kennedy on behalf of himself, the President of <br />Council and the entire City Council was given its second reading. An Ordinance <br />establishing a special revenue fund in the City of North Olmsted to accumulate funds in <br />order to compensate municipal employees in those calendar years when a 27th payment of <br />salary and benefits occurs, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2011-24 introduced Mayor Kennedy on behalf of himself, the President of <br />Council and the entire City Council was given its second reading. An Ordinance <br />establishing a special revenue fund in the City of North Olmsted to accumulate funds in <br />order to pay to qualifying municipal employees at separation accumulated sick leave, <br />vacation time and payments in lieu of compensatory time, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2011-26 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to <br />provide construction services for the Springvale parking lot improvement project, as <br />detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, <br />following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and <br />best bidder, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to <br />suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />2011-26 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2011-27 introduced by Mayor Kennedy on behalf of himself, Council <br />President Limpert and the entire City Council was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to solicit bids for the <br />demolition and removal of dangerous buildings located at 5430 Sunset Oval as a public <br />nuisance; and further authorizing the costs to be certified as a tax lien upon said real <br />property pursuant to Section 1331.05 of the Codified Ordinances, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance 2011-28 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the <br />City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2011. Councilman Barker made <br />a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney. Roll Call: Barker, yes with <br />comment. My vote is yes with enthusiasm.
