Council Minutes of 02- 15-2011 ., • The Finance Dept. has closed the year and financial information was sent to Council via E-mail. • The auditors have began the 2010 audit of the City. • She is currently working on the budget for estimated resources and appropriations. The preliminary appropriations detail and the funds summary has been sent to Council via E-mail. Council President Limpert announced that resumes have been submitted for the Ward III Council seat and interviews will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22 and at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23. There will be a Special Council Meeting on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. to appoint the new Council member. Council President Limpert, Chairman of the Committee of the Whole. The Committee of the Whole met Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Present were President Limpert; Council members Kearney, Orlowski, Williamson and Mahoney. • Discussed first was Ordinance 2011-7 which is an Ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for Council-at-Large members for the term of office commencing January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2015. The legislation includes a wage freeze and 5% reduction in wages for the Council at-Large members. The committee unanimously approved Ordinance 2011-7. • Discussed last was Resolution 2011-8 which is a Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Planning and Development to make application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for a Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC) Powering Our Communities Grant; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded; and to execute a contract with NOPEC, and declaring an emergency. The committee unanimously approved Resolution 2011-8. Councilman Mahoney, Vice Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee: The BZD Committee met Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 6:45 p.m. Present were committee members Mahoney and Barker; Council President Limpert; Council members Brossard, Orlowski and Williamson; Law Director Gareau and Planning and Development Director Wenger. • Discussed first was Ordinance 2011-12 which is an Ordinance amending and re- establishing Chapter 151 of the Administrative Code entitled "Board of Zoning Appeals" in order to create the position of Vice Chairman and to eliminate reference to fees. The committee voted 2-0 for approval of Ordinance 2011-12 with amendment. 3 ~.>ri.~.
