Council Minutes of 02-01-2011 <br /> <br />funds for a third grade safety program and smoke detector program, and also for <br />fire investigation training. The committee voted 3-0 for approval of Resolution <br />2011-10. <br />• The last item was a new liquor license for Osaka, LLC located at 25102 <br />Brookpark Road, Suite 130. Lt. Cox did a background investigation and indicated <br />that he had no objection to this permit. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to not object to the liquor permit for Osaka, LLC <br />located at 25102 Brookpark Road, Suite 130. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. No objection to liquor permit for <br />Osaka, LLC. <br />Councilman Kearney, Chairman of the Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee: <br />The Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee met Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at <br />8:45 p.m. Present were committee members Kearney, Brossard and Orlowski; Council <br />President Limpert; Council members Barker, Jones, Williamson and Mahoney; Director <br />of Law Gareau and Director of Planning and Development Wenger. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2011-4 a Resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Planning and Development to request proposals from firms qualified to conduct a <br />comprehensive energy audit of various municipal buildings, all as required by the <br />Cuyahoga County Municipal Energy Program; further authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into an Agreement with the firm selected in the RFP process, after approval <br />by the Board of Control, and declaring an emergency. This Ordinance will bring <br />$65,000 to the City which will hopefully help lower energy bills. The committee <br />voted 3-0 for approval of Resolution 2011-4. <br />Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Intra-Governmental Relations <br />Committee: <br />The Intra-Governmental Relations Committee met Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 7:00 <br />p.m. Present were committee members Williamson, and Mahoney; Council members <br />Brossard, Barker, Orlowski and Kearney; Council President Limpert; Mayor Kennedy; <br />Director of Law Gareau and Director of Safety and Service Ritenauer. Interviews of <br />Mayoral appointments to Boards and Commissions were conducted by the committee. <br />All appointments were recommended 2-0. <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to approve the Mayor's appointment of Julie <br />Nader to the Board of Building Code Appeals for the term January 1, 2011 through <br />December 31, 2015. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed <br />unanimously. Julie Nader appointed to the Board of Building Code Appeals for the term <br />January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2015 approved. <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to approve the Mayor's appointment of Ed <br />Garrity to the Recreation Commission for the term January 1, 2011 through December <br />31, 2015.
