Council Minutes of OS-07-2013 <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• He, Assistant Law Director O'Malley and Prosecutor Gordillo attended the Ohio <br />Munici~al Attorney's Association 2013 Municipal Law in Cleveland last Friday, <br />May 31 . <br />• Assistant Law Director Heyward will be in Chicago for mandatory HUD <br />sponsored Fair Housing training on May 21 and 22. <br />• Two grievances remain pending. An arbitration for the FOP versus the City of <br />North Olmsted regarding a discipline hearing for a police officer is set for June 4 <br />at 10:30 a.m. AFSCME versus the City of North Olmsted regarding a dispute <br />over compensation for a WWTP employee will be scheduled as well. <br />• The city has entered into a contract with the North Olmsted Soccer Organization <br />for the use of Barton-Bradley fields to clarify rules, regulations and the use of the <br />city's fields. <br />• He acknowledged Troop 332 in attendance at this evening's Council meeting. <br />Director of Finance Copfer <br />• She participated in the second round of architect interviews for the Recreation <br />Center's design services request for qualifications. They had several good <br />presentations, and they awarded the contract to Jeff Grusenmeyer at their Board <br />of Control meeting this week. <br />• The auditors have been at the city for about a week and a half. They are on <br />schedule for their May 31St deadline. <br />• She had a week of on-site Munis analysis for various modules including inventory <br />analysis and training on certain aspects of Human Resources and payroll, and <br />employee self-service. They also had opportunities to do follow-up work on work <br />orders and payroll changes due to the more versatile use of the new version of <br />Munis. <br />• March 2013 month end has been reconciled. It was more challenging now that <br />the city has the Mayor's Court, but they are reconciled. Council members were <br />E-mailed summaries for January through March and revenue and expenditure <br />detail for March. She is working on the narrative to accompany that. <br />• She forwarded an E-mail to Council today from RITA regarding House Bi115 that <br />had attachments that contained testimony from hearings that have been held at the <br />State House. <br />Councilman Barker had no report, but he did mention that the Finance Committee met <br />briefly this evening before the Council meeting regarding the digital storage of legislation <br />and minutes. The Clerk presented Council with three estimates/proposals to scan the <br />files.
