Council Minutes of 03-19-2013 <br />,,, Resolution 2013-24 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />~,_ Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the awazd <br />of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon city streets, as <br />detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, <br />following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and <br />best bidder, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Brossard moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />2013-24 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2013-25 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the Request for Qualifications (R.F.Q.) process required to <br />obtain the services of a Plans Examiner and Back-Up Plans Examiner and authorizing the <br />Mayor to enter into a three (3) year contract with Jeffrey Grusenmeyer as Plans <br />Examiner and Nick del Giudice as Back-Up Plans Examiner. Councilman Barker moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2013-25 adopted 6-0. <br />Ordinance 2013-28 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance establishing the program fee for participation in the city's Juvenile Traffic <br />Intervention Program (JTIP) within the Division of Youth and Family Services, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance 2013-28 <br />adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2013-29 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Planning and Development to make <br />application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for Community Development Block <br />Grant (CDBG) Funds for the fiscal year 2013 for the Senior Center Roof Replacement <br />Project; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded and to execute a <br />contract with Cuyahoga County, and declazing an emergency. Councilman Kearney <br />made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Brossard and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for <br />adoption. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to make application to <br />the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating <br />Agency, as necessary, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, for funding for safety <br />improvements to Great Northern Boulevard; further authorizing matching funds, as <br />necessary, further authorizing the Mayor to accept funding if awarded and to execute <br />contracts, as necessary, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Orlowski made a <br />motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously.
