Council Minutes of 03-OS-2013 ,,, was there to remind them that the city counted on existing township customers Yom' when North Olmsted designed and came up with the funding for the current Waste Water Treatment Plant improvements. They decided at the meeting to assume the existing 208 Plan for the township projects in the near future, and asked us to take a small portion of regional and several customers to which improvements are happening at Bronson and Cook. The regional sewer district conceded to do that. Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Finance Committee: The Finance Committee met Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 7:10 p.m. Present were committee members Barker, Schumann and Kearney; Council members Brossard, Orlowski and Williamson; Planning/Development Director Wenger. • Discussed was Resolution 2013-25 which is a Resolution dispensing with the Request for Qualifications (R.F.Q.) process required to obtain the services of a Plans Examiner and Back-Up Plans Examiner and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a three (3) year contract with Jeffrey Grusenmeyer as Plans Examiner and Nick del Giudice as Back-Up Plans Examiner. Mr. Grusenmeyer and del Giudice have been the plans examiners for 10 years. Director Wenger felt it would be best to have these gentlemen renewed by contract instead of going through the RFP process as the city has a good business relationship with them. Councilman Barker made a motion to recommend approval of Resolution 2013-25. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2013-25. Councilman Orlowski, Chairman of the Intra-Governmental Relations Committee: The Intra-Governmental Relations Committee met Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Orlowski and Williamson; Council members Barker, Brossard, Kearney and Schumann; guests. • Discussed first was Resolution 2013-22 which is a Resolution proclaiming April as Fair Housing Month in the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, and declaring an emergency. This is an annual resolution in which the city government and Council wish to emphasize the month of April as Fair Housing Month and to affirm the rights of all individuals to access housing in all communities. Councilman Orlowski made a motion to recommend approval of Resolution 2013-22. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson. The committee voted 2-0 to recommend Resolution 2013-22 to all of Council. • Discussed next was a Mayoral appointment to the Recreation Commission to fill an unexpired term of February 2013 to December 31, 2015. The vacancy was created by the resignation of Paul Ruggles. Vera Brewer is the Mayoral recommended appointment. He spoke with her about the appointment. She was unable to attend the committee meeting due to a prior engagement. In his opinion, she is a very good candidate for this commission. Her background in the school system combined with her own extra-curricular activities in sports and ~'~ involvement in sports with her family will enable her to be a good member of the 3
