Council Minutes of 03-OS-2013 as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Boazd of Control to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declazing an emergency. Director Thomas indicated that the pavement markings aze about $100,000 per yeaz, and the city was going to scale back and take care of the most important ones to save about $30,000 to $40,000. The Service Dept. is also going to cut back on crack sealing, saving the city about $70,000. The .goal of this would be to help finance the bulk of the $160,000 needed for emergency repairs on Butternut Ridge Road. Councilman Orlowski voiced some concerns about the Brookpazk and Columbia Road areas, which were duly noted by Director Thomas and the Engineer. Councilman Brossard made a motion to recommend approval of Resolution 2013- 23. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski, and the committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2013-23. • Discussed last was Resolution 2013-24 which is a Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon city streets, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Boazd of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Brossazd made a motion to recommend approval of Resolution 2013-24. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski, and the committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2013-24. Councilman Schumann, Vice-Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee; The Public Safety Committee met Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 7:35 p.m. Present were committee members Williamson and Schumann; Council members Barker, Brossard, Orlowski and Kearney. • Discussed first was liquor permit no. 1070600, for Buckeye BBQ LLC, dba Famous Dave's located at 26410 Great Northern Shopping Center. After review from Lt. Cox at the Police Department and finding no issues with the application, a motion was recommended to not object to the liquor permit. The matter passed with a vote of 2-0. Councilman Schumann made a motion to not object to liquor permit no. 1070600 Buckeye BBQ, LLC dba Famous Dave's located at 26410 Great Northern Shopping Center. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously.
