Council Minutes of 03-OS-2013 <br />as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and authorizing <br />the Mayor, following approval of the Boazd of Control to contract for the same <br />with the lowest and best bidder, and declazing an emergency. Director Thomas <br />indicated that the pavement markings aze about $100,000 per yeaz, and the city <br />was going to scale back and take care of the most important ones to save about <br />$30,000 to $40,000. The Service Dept. is also going to cut back on crack sealing, <br />saving the city about $70,000. The .goal of this would be to help finance the bulk <br />of the $160,000 needed for emergency repairs on Butternut Ridge Road. <br />Councilman Orlowski voiced some concerns about the Brookpazk and Columbia <br />Road areas, which were duly noted by Director Thomas and the Engineer. <br />Councilman Brossard made a motion to recommend approval of Resolution 2013- <br />23. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski, and the committee voted <br />3-0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2013-23. <br />• Discussed last was Resolution 2013-24 which is a Resolution authorizing the <br />Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to <br />provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon city streets, as detailed in the <br />specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following <br />approval of the Boazd of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best <br />bidder, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Brossazd made a motion to <br />recommend approval of Resolution 2013-24. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Orlowski, and the committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of <br />Resolution 2013-24. <br />Councilman Brossazd took a moment of personal privilege to give his condolences to the <br />Barda family. <br />Councilman Schumann, Vice-Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare <br />Committee; <br />The Public Safety Committee met Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 7:35 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Williamson and Schumann; Council members Barker, Brossard, <br />Orlowski and Kearney. <br />• Discussed first was liquor permit no. 1070600, for Buckeye BBQ LLC, dba <br />Famous Dave's located at 26410 Great Northern Shopping Center. After review <br />from Lt. Cox at the Police Department and finding no issues with the application, <br />a motion was recommended to not object to the liquor permit. The matter passed <br />with a vote of 2-0. <br />Councilman Schumann made a motion to not object to liquor permit no. 1070600 <br />Buckeye BBQ, LLC dba Famous Dave's located at 26410 Great Northern Shopping <br />Center. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. <br />Liquor permit 1070600 Famous Dave's approved. <br />• Discussed next was liquor permit no. 6071207, for MLB Enterprises LTD, dba <br />Stop on Inn located at 29352 Lorain Road.
