Council Minutes of 08-07-12 <br />,~ the best it has in a long while. The North Olmsted team placed third. The second <br />annual Community Garage Sale was this past Saturday and was a great success. <br />• Det. Chuck Fioritto honored by ATF for his cooperation in the Investigation of <br />David Katrenick for illegal possession and sales of firearms. Katrenick operated <br />Lazy Dave's Tattoos. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />He provided Council with information during the last Council meeting regarding <br />median and average sale prices of homes in North Olmsted. Those numbers <br />included condominiums, so he reviewed single-family homes only for Council. <br />In the matter of Eugene Dzambasow vs. The City of North Olmsted, the case is no <br />longer scheduled for trial. There has been a number of significant discovery <br />processes taking place. The case will proceed at a later date for trial. <br />In the matter of James Connell vs. The City of North Olmsted, the public records <br />request/gathering of documents continues for this case. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />The CAFR was issued while Council was on recess, and was publicly released <br />mid-July. It is on the City's website under the Finance Department's reports. <br />Councilman Kearney, Chairman of the Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee: <br />The Recreation Committee met Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 6:45 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Kearney, Brossard and Orlowski; Council President Limpert; <br />Council members Barker, Mahoney, Schumann and Williamson; Mayor Kennedy, Law <br />Director Gareau, Planning/Development Director Wenger, and Recreation Commissioner <br />Drenski. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2012-57 which an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. <br />2006-94 to amend the price ranges and to otherwise restate the program fees for <br />use of Park and Recreation facilities. The committee voted 3-0 for approval of <br />Resolution 2012-57. <br />Councilman Mahoney, Chairman of the Building, Zoning & Development Committee: <br />The BZD Committee met Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. Present were committee <br />members Mahoney, Kearney and Barker; Council President Limpert; Council members <br />Brossard, Orlowski, Schumann and Williamson; Mayor Kennedy and <br />Planning/Development Director Wenger. <br />• Discussed was CMS2012-13 Sunnyside Toyota located at 26890 Lorain Road. <br />This proposal consisted of parking lot improvements to the existing parking lot. <br />The Planning and Design Commission approved this with the following <br />conditions: storm water information should be submitted to the City Engineer and <br />the rear yard area will include textile material installed prior to gravel installation. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to approve CMS2012-13 Sunnyside Toyota <br />parking lot improvements with conditions set forth by the Planning Commission.
