Council Minutes of 03-20-2012 <br />The city is currently working with ODOT on some intersection plans with a possible <br />~.. 100% of money for safety concerns. The city and lobbyist are working with the state and <br />heading to Washington to see if there is any money down there. The key is to find as <br />much money as you can, and that's part of the lobbyist's job. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2012-22 introduced by Councilman Orlowski was given its second reading. <br />Resolution proclaiming April as Fair Housing Month in North Olmsted, Ohio, and <br />declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Orlowski made a motion to suspend <br />the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Orlowski moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2012-22 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution 2012-23 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Planning and Development to make <br />application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for Community Development Block <br />Grant (CDBG) funds for the fiscal year 2012 for the Country Club Boulevard Streetscape <br />and Safety Enhancements Project, Phase II; further authorizing the use of city funds as <br />the local match; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded and to <br />execute a contract with Cuyahoga County, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Orlowski made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Councilman Orlowski <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2012-23 adopted. <br />Resolution 2012-24 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Planning and Development to make <br />application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for Surface Water Improvement Fund <br />("SWIF") grant money; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded and <br />to execute a contract with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Schumann made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2012-24 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2012-25 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance enacting new Chapter 944 of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code, <br />entitled "Indigent Burial". <br />Resolution 2012-26 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />.~ of a contract to provide cracksealing on various streets at various locations in the city, as <br />detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and authorizing the <br />
