Council Minutes of 02-07-2012 Councilman Schumann, Chairman of the Environmental Control Committee: The Environmental Control Committee met on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Schumann, Barker and Brossard; Council President Limpert; Council members Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski and Williamson, Mayor Kennedy, Law Director Gareau and Safety/Service Director Thomas; guests from Cinnamon Woods and Viewpoint. • Discussed was Ordinance 2012-5 which is an Ordinance amending and re- establishing Chapter 941 of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code entitled "Refuse Collection" in order to implement new standards for refuse collection within the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. Mayor Kennedy commented that it is his fiduciary duty not to pay for service for non-dedicated streets. The committee voted 2-1 to recommend approval of Ordinance 2012-5 with amendments. Schumann was the dissenting vote. Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee: The Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee met Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Present were committee members Williamson, Mahoney and Schumann; Council President Limpert; Council members Barker, Brossard, Kearney and Orlowski; ~, Safety/Service Director Thomas and guests. • On the agenda were four liquor permits. Lt. Cox of the North Olmsted Police Dept. conducted a review of each of the permits and found no issues or concerns with the permits and applicants. The committee voted 3-0 to not object to all four permits. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to not object to liquor permit no. 71269280005 for PWE, Inc. dba Coyote Rock Saloon & Bistro located at 30850 Lorain Road. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Liquor permit for Coyote Rock Saloon & Bistro approved. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to not object to liquor permit no. 8916142 for Three Bar, Inc. located at 24755 Lorain Road. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Liquor permit for Three Bar, Inc. approved. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to not object to liquor permit no. 6277234 for Northeast Ohio Petroleum Co. 7 dba One Stop Sunoco 7 located at 23370 Lorain Road. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Liquor permit for One Stop Sunoco approved. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to not object to liquor permit no. ,, 22348151230 Dolgen Midwest, LLC dba Dollar General Store 12478 located at 29063 5
