Council Minutes of 01-03-2012 <br />products for use by the City of North Olmsted, as per specifications on file, and <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract to purchase such supplies. Councilman <br />~'°'~ Barker made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2011-141 adopted. <br />Resolution 2012-1 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase for Police Department use two (2) new <br />Ford Police Interceptors and related equipment, all through the State Purchase Program; <br />and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate such <br />purchase, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to suspend <br />the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. T'he motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Mahoney <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and <br />passed unanimously. Resolution 2012-1 adopted. <br />Resolution 2012-2 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Cuyahoga County <br />Board of Health to provide for a Point of Dispensing site at the Service Department <br />Garage, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to <br />suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. <br />Sid King, 27149 Limpert Lane asked what a point of dispensing site is. Safety/Service <br />Director Thomas said it is used for emergency situations such as residents being exposed <br />to anthrax and the city had to get antibiotics out to residents as soon as possible. The <br />antibiotics would be distributed to the people driving to the point of dispensing site. King <br />said so something like a triage? Thomas said that is correct. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2012-2 adopted. <br />Resolution 2012-3 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Administrator of the North Olmsted Senior <br />Center to make two (2) applications on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for <br />participation in the Ohio Department of Natural Resources ("ODNR") Clean Ohio Trail <br />Fund ("COTF") and Recreational Trail Program ("RTP") for the purpose of obtaining <br />financial assistance for recreational trail improvement projects and further authorizing the <br />Mayor to accept said assistance if awarded and to execute contract documents with <br />ODNR, as necessary, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion <br />to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2012-3 adopted. <br />~'~~. <br />4 <br />
