Council Minutes of 06-25-2013 <br />,,,,~„ Chapter 900 and to amend existing Chapters 901, 903, 905 and 909, for in order to clarify <br />required fees and deposits, and declaring an emergency, as twice amended. Councilman <br />Brossard moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance 2013-42 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2013-52 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 1101 of the Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted <br />entitled "Subdivision Regulations" for the purpose of clarifying required deposits. <br />Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Kearney and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2013-52 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2013-54 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution adopting the Alternative Tax Budget of the City of North Olmsted for the <br />fiscal year beginning January 1, 2014, and submitting the same to the County Fiscal <br />Officer, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the <br />rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2013-54 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2013-55 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2013 and <br />. declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the <br />rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2013-55 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2013-56 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Planning and Development to make <br />application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for Community Development I31ock <br />Grant (CDBG) Funds for the fiscal year 2014 for the County Club Boulevard Streetscape <br />Project, Phase II; further authorizing the use of city funds as the local match; further <br />authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded and to execute a contract with <br />Cuyahoga County, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Brossard made a motion to <br />suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Orlowski and passed unanimously. Councilman Brossard moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />2013-56 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2013-57 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Chief of Police to apply for and the Mayor to accept, on behalf <br />of the City of North Olmsted, up to $33,252.00 in grant funding from the Bureau of <br />Justice Assistance Partnership in order to purchase bullet proof vests for North Olmsted <br />police officers in 2013 and 2014; further authorizing the Mayor to enter into any <br />agreements with the appropriate federal or state agencies to accept funding on behalf of <br />the city, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to <br />suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Smith and passed unanimously.
