Council Minutes of 11/3/93 <br />Audience Participation <br />top free are cons~ered for each open position. Once someor~ is chosen from the <br />list, the next person is moved up; therefore, Ms. Laforet's ranking of five puts <br />her in a good position. Mr. Gateau agreed that five was a good ranking, anal. he <br />mentioned. that it is possible that one or two of the people above her may have <br />already taken positions somewhere else. <br />Paul Miller, 3941 Pine Circle, congratulated the winners of the election. He <br />offered special congratulation and best wisps to Duane Li~ert. Mr. Miller <br />wished Mr. Leonard the best in his retirement. As a resident and ht~meowr~r of <br />Ward I, he appreciates all that Mr. Leonard has dome thrcn~tgh his years of <br />service. Mr. Leonard will be missed by everyone. Mr. Miller heel spent the day <br />reflecting. on his campaign aril decid~,d that he would definitely be "taming back." <br />Mr. Miller thanked everyone ~o had helped in his campaign atvd promised to <br />continue contributing to the ccxmnurity in a positive way. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Or~cinance No. 93-125 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending the traffic control file of the City of North Olmsted by <br />providing for the removal of the "No Parking" sign located on the cu1-de-sac of <br />Grace road north of Mastiek Road, in the City of North Olmsted, ar~d declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Leonard; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 93-125 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 93-127 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to .advertise for bids for <br />partial depth concrete joint repair of various streets in the City of North <br />Olmsted, as per specifications now on file in his office, and authorizing the <br />Mayor to contract for same arxi declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. Leonard; motion passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 93-127 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 93-128 .introduced by Mr. L~ was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />cracksealing on various streets in the City of North Olmsted as per specifica- <br />tions.now an file in his office, aryl authorizing the Mayor to contract for s <br />and. declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mrs. <br />Saringer; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 93-128 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 93-129 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />pulva~nixing on various streets in the City of North Olmsted, as per specifica- <br />tions now an file in his office, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mrs. <br />Saringer; motion passed unanimously. .Resolution No. 93-129 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 93-130 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />5,000 tons of asphalt anti tack coating of city streets, and authorizing the Mayor <br />to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. Leonard; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 93-130 adopted. <br />3 <br />
